Kentucky Right to Life Endorses Jonathan Shell for Kentucky Ag Commissioner

LANCASTER, Ky. (March 2, 2023) – Jonathan Shell, fifth-generation Kentucky farmer and former State House Majority Leader, has been endorsed by the Kentucky Right to Life Victory PAC in his race to be the next Commissioner of Agriculture.

“Protecting the right to life for every Kentuckian is one of the biggest reasons I got into politics in the first place. I’m proud to earn this important endorsement in our effort to defend Kentucky’s homegrown values and our conservative way of life,” said Shell, Republican candidate for Agriculture Commissioner.“My family lives our pro-life values and will carry them throughout this campaign and into office next year as we make Kentucky a bold, pro-life state.”  

After leading candidate recruitment for the Republican takeover of the Kentucky State House in 2016, Shell was elected to be the youngest House Majority Leader and the first Republican to hold the office in the Commonwealth’s history. Shell championed the passage of the first pro-life legislation to become law in Kentucky that protected the sanctity of life for the unborn.
