LANCASTER, Ky. (April 28, 2023) – Jonathan Shell, Republican candidate for Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner, announced today the launch of his "Defending Agriculture and Freedom Tour." The tour, set to kick off May 1st and run through the Primary Election on May 16th, will visit various counties throughout the state.
“We are seeing historic government overreach from Joe Biden that threatens our freedoms, and enough is enough,” said Shell, a fifth-generation farmer. “Defending our state’s ag sector to build a better future for farmers is what I have talked about during my campaign for Ag Commissioner. Kentucky families need a Tough as Shell conservative who can Stop Biden and Save Kentucky.”
The Defending Agriculture and Freedom Tour will see Shell travel throughout Kentucky to talk with primary voters about his plans to push back against government overreach, protect the rights of farmers and share his vision for Kentucky agriculture.
The tour will include meet and greets, media interviews and other events.

Shell’s Defending Agriculture and Freedom Tour will take him through Allen, Anderson, Barren, Boyle, Breathitt, Bullitt, Butler, Christian, Daviess, Fayette, Garrard, Henderson, Hopkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Lincoln, Mercer, Monroe, Montgomery, Pike, Rockcastle, Scott, Shelby and Warren counties.
